"What niche should I use?"
The very first step is choosing your website name. This should be a daunting task if you are spending more than 2 minutes choosing a name for your site, you are wasting your time. Choose something that you are interested in now, that you enjoy doing, that are passionate about, or a product that you love.
To show how easy it is, I am going to choose something that is relevant and on my mind right now.

I am going to go create a website for this. Remember, this is located on the websites page within the WA menu.

On this page you will see the "On a Free Domain" button (as shown below). Simply click that.
Upon doing so, I am going to be able to choose the name for my site. In this case, I want "iphone5cases" to be the name.
After I choose my domain, it will tell me if it is available. If it is GREEN text, it is available. It will tell you if the domain has already been taken and the text below will turn red. In this case, it is green so it is good to go.
Simply click "Next Step" to move onto the "theme" section where you are going to choose the look for your site.

If you are totally stuck for ideas, head over to Amazons Best Sellers page and have a look through the products/categories and you will get some ideas.

Great add for WA! You guys keep evolving, and it is awesome. How easy it is now for someone to get their first site online and learn the ropes without spending any money on domains and stuff. You guys kick arse!

Yeah, that is the absolute goal...to take some of the major initial hurdles and risks out of getting rolling. I think that once people see that they can do this by getting to touch and feel something (in this case there own site), it will lead to much greater forward progress!

This resource is also something I can use to show someone who is thinking about trying the 10-day free trial, but needs encouragement as to how easy it is to create a website.
I am glad you are offering free websites. This will give me a place where I can take the time I need to convert one of my big 'old Site Rubix' sites. I checked my 'old' Site Rubix site out on a mobile device and it needs some cosmetic help.

You should definitely start moving moving your old site over to a new framework. There are many sites (wordpress themes) now that have mobile versions which is great if a good deal of your traffic is from mobile devices.
