Introduction

The All in One SEO plugin adds a meta box in your WordPress post/page edit screen that will help you optimize single posts and pages by entering unique SEO title, description, and keywords for each post you publish.

If you leave these text fields blank, the All in One SEO will use global settings to fill in these fields for you. Entering text in this meta box overrides the global All in One SEO settings. If you want to get maximum results you should fill in these fields manually and not leave them blank.

One of the things that can be confusing is that there are two ways to access and fill in these text fields.

  1. At the bottom of the page or post edit screen.
  2. From the All Posts screen on the website dashboard.

This tutorial will look at both ways to enter SEO optimization information

Let's start with the text field access at the bottom of the page/post edit screen.

Do I have to use the meta box for my posts in order to have the keywords recognized and so on?

You want to provide a meta description and set the so iCal sharing image but not much Boyle one that. I don't bother with meta tags. In fact most search engines will ignore meta tags and determine them for themselves.

Yes, it's an SEO optimization plugin. It purports to beat Google at its own game with an algorithm that mirrors Google's for indexing.

It's good but creates a bit of work until you get the site under control with an audit score of 85 or higher. My audit score is still at 55 I think. Long way to go but it tells you what to do to get the score higher and have Google love you.
