Comment blacklist
The next text box, the black list, serves a similar purpose.
The difference is that reactions with one or more terms from the black list are marked as spam without mercy. If a blacklist is a godsend for you, then you can obviously build this list yourself from scratch.
You can also make a leap forward. On Github you will find a page with a Comment Blacklist for WordPress. You can also download this black list directly. You can copy this list in its entirety in the text box. The disadvantage is that you have to update the list manually.
If you want to keep the list up-to-date automatically, you can do so via the Comment Blacklist Manager plugin.
The Comment Blacklist Manager adds two additional text boxes. You can add your own terms in the Local Blacklist.
With the Excluded Terms you can correct the original list, terms mentioned here are ignored.
Because of those extra text boxes, your additions and corrections will be kept with updates.
Avatars
An avatar is a small picture or image that is shown in reactions.
An avatar is an image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on avatar enabled sites.
Here you can enable the display of avatars for people who comment on your site.
With the help of services from Gravatar you link an avatar to an e-mail address.
If you subsequently submit a response with such an e-mail address,
the relevant avatar is automatically displayed.
- Show avatar
This option is checked by default. Avatars are then shown.
