I transferred my domain from coolhandle, com to WA.

I want to change the DNS to ns2,mywahosting,com and ns1,mywahosting.com.

I got an error when I tried to chan

Can you try it again.
See this first... I believe the process is the same for all other registrars.

Thanks for the information. I was able to log into my control panel for my domain. I attempted to view/change the DNS servers but got an error message saying something went wrong.
I checked the FAQ on How to change the DNS server name and found that I needed to submit a support request with the names and IP address for the new DNS Server names and the registrar would take care of the change.

So now I am waiting on the registrar.

Hey Billy,

Perhaps Carson's post will help you: if you haven't already been able to figure out how to transfer your website as yet.

When it comes to moving your content, here's a really easy method for taking that step: Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the information.
Transfer of my domain is underway.

Get your transfer code (needed) from your current host!

Thank you. I just requested my transfer code after unlocking my domain.

Answer to the request stated it could take up to 24 hours to get the code.

Hello Billy, you click on websites in the left menu, then Site Domain and Transfer Domain to WA.

Thank you.

But where you get the transfer code

I got the answer from 3tripleA.

You get the transfer code from the current registrar.

Click on Websites on the left side of your profile. Next click on Site domains and follow the instructions to transfer domain to WA

Thanks. I will try that.

Hi Billy!

Are you transferring from Go Daddy or somewhere else. If so check out: Marion has other trainings on this subject that will probably help you out.

Thanks for the reply. I am transferring form somewhere else.

I want to add an affiliate banner to my posts. how is this accomplished?

Depends on what kind of banner you are talking about. If if is a WA banner Nadja has provided a link.

Tried and true

Elaine

Thanks Elaine.

Billy

Can you please have a look at the following training:

Thank you Nadja.

Billy

If it's from Amazon, you hilight and copy the code they give you. Go to the page on your website that you want the banner on. Go to the Edit mode, on the right hand side click text. Then paste the banner code at the top of the page or wherever you want it. Hope this helps!

Thank you Schroeder40.

Billy

Thank you much.

Billy

If you type add banner into the search bar at the top of the page, you'll see that there's some training there
~Shell

Thanks Sheli. Works for me.

Billy

open your site manager and log in and go to your pages go to the editor for that page and up in the right hand corner there is a tab that says text but on the first tab scroll to either you want to put your banner and type in banner1 or whatever number you want to call it to identify it and then go To the text tab and find the word and highlight it and then right click and past the ling in there then update the page then visit the page and you should see the Banner

Thank you Scott. I will look into this for my site.

I want to add links to my website. When do you add them?

Definitely start them as soon as you can. I try to link all of my posts with at least 1 internal link and 1 external link.

Take care.

Thanks manne13666.

Billy

Affiliate links can be added to product review posts.
Internal links can be added when you create posts which logically connected.

Thank you Nadja.

You can add them whenever you like.

Thanks Curtizmo.

As soon as you can or as soon as possible so you can internally link your articles.

Tried and true

Elaine

Thank you Elaine.

Billy

Yep, do it as soon as you can Billy.

~Mark :)

Thank you MarkBa.

Billy

Try, at least, from the start to link your own posts together with internal links. when you have already an affiliate agreement with a company, you can use that asap.
With WA and Jaaxy you are affiliated, so link back to them

Thank you Loes.

Billy

As soon as you publish a post. I would go back and put them in previous posts if you haven’t put them in.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

Thank you Karen.

Billy

I did mine rather quickly. I think it adds to the site. If someone wants a purchase and there isn’t a link that stinks .. :) But getting a little traffic helps too.. You’ll hear different answers .. :)

Thanks for that KristylaureL.

Billy

Any time is a good time, but ideally, you'd already have some traffic coming to your site.

You can do this anytime do you mean affiliate links?

Yes. I want to add Affiliate links to my website. I also need to get the Affiliate Disclosure up first.

Where do you place the Affiliate Disclosure on your website? Is it posted as a page or post?

I have mine in my main menu across the top of my site, right next to my Privacy Policy. I've posted mine as a page, and checked off No Follow/No Index
~Shell

I agree with Marion.

~Mark :)

I'm with Loes on this, except I don't have it in the footer. I have one at the top of the sidebar so it appears on every post and page and also within every post that has affiliate links.

If you don't comply with the FTC guidelines then the affiliate companies may not pay you commissions.

I have the affiliate disclaimer on 3 places
In the sidebar
on the post
in the footer
Nobody can miss it

I have mine as a page, hidden under my About me page in my top menu.

Karen

If you need help, Type in “Add an Affiliate Disclosure” in the search area and the first training post that pops up by the member Loes is very good. I used it today. I tried to add the link but I’m on my phone and didn’t have much success .. I hope this helps.

Thanks Kristylaurel, that advice was a big help to me!

I made it a Page and put it as a Sidebar and a Footer. May be a little redundant :)

Thank you Kristy.

above the fold. you can put in on the side widget.

Thank you.

It is often a static page that is accessible via a widget (side) menu or footer link. but yes normally a page

Thank you Fleurallen. I will look into where to put it on my page.

Billy

Anywhere you choose. It is often placed in the Footer menu or in the side widget.
Hopefully someone will come along with a more definite answer for you.

Thank you Bald Eagle for that advice.
