What's your Visual Code?
You'll be able to name the visual codes for major brands...CocaCola? Amazon? Nike?
Your job is to create your own visual code and imagery so that you gain potential to stand out and attract the attention of your potential subscribers, customers and fans.
Your Visual Code includes:
- Logo - this can be an image, text or a combination of both. It is your signboard that customers associate with you. It instantly tells someone that they found you!
- Colour scheme - spend time on this. Colours reflect your business and they have meaning to people on a subconscious level. Certain colours reflect certain niches better. Design your scheme with this in mind. And stick with it. Complementary or opposing colours will attract a different market, bright or muted colours say something else. Spend time researching this before you launch.
- Imagery - how do you use images? Do you go for direct relation images that just say what is seen, or humor/ relative which is relevant but needs further thought or do you use abstract to merely break and lift the information?
- Fonts - do you have a consistent font that immediately indicates visitors have arrived on your site?
- Tone - your language will associate your brand.... do customers have a brand experience when they read your headlines and text?
If you suddenly produced a TV ad or Youtube video would your customers know it was you BEFORE they saw your logo?

Jason.....this is by far the best training I have seen in this area....so many don't understand what 'branding' is; it is not limited merely to an 'object' like cereal (just ate some, lol).....thoroughly walked through so well that there was not one questions at the end.....excellent work!
