Know your audience and network

This can be determined one of 2 ways; and I recommend the latter of these:

Using here at WA as the source of one of your networks. What I’m mean is for when you’re building your network of followers etc here within WA. You can either define your audience as everyone that is a member of WA or a specific niche within WA. Niche has been defined many times here at WA so I will leave you to find a more detailed definition beyond this tutorial. But it simply means to focus on a more specific group of people within the broader group in WA. For example, my niche is to focus and connect with positive, motivated, action takers. I have defined and decided on this niche based on what I want out of my WA membership. Initially, it was to surround myself with positive, like-minded, successful action takers. I know this will evolve and ebb and flow as my journey here does, but that is my niche today.

You can decide on a niche based on your needs. That might be:

  • those located near you
  • members with similar interests
  • those that speak the same language as you
  • members that have the same or similar goals
  • those seeking education on an area of your expertise

You get to decide. If you’re not sure. Begin with something, you can always adapt along the way.

Once you have decided on your audience. Regularly check in about what their needs are. Don’t rely on making assumptions. From time to time ask. This is essential particularly over the long term.

However, do keep these responses in balance with what your ultimate aims are. Because if members are following you because you’re an expert in a niche area. If they give feedback that they don’t believe a particular step is necessary but you know this is essential to their success in your area of expertise; then you need to learn how to teach and educate on why this is relevant and necessary for their success.

Flower!! This is most excellent!! Thank you so much as (sorry if this sounds arrogant) I have reached a point that few trainers offer me anything.

However, I have found a vast and mighty supply of greatness. Anyone who ever sees another needs this value.

Most excellent.

Well done on your first training Fleur! Really enjoyed! You made me think, not only of my online communication but my offline communication too (especially the bit about eye contact and not being distracted by phone while in conversation with someone). Thank you for providing meaningful ways to master networking and some really great ideas on how to apply these skills to our online life.
