I love to cook. I have always loved to cook, and I make a mean baked ravioli. I modified the taste I encountered from Buca di Beppo a few years ago, and made an easy baked ravioli that lots of people love.

I want to rank for baked ravioli recipe, and I have a page all planned out, but it's not up yet. I'm lazy, I know. But I did had a basic blog post written a few months ago, and I'll use that as my example for you.

Here's my post: http://www.smadronia.com/baked-ravioli.html

This is what the SocialMonkee submission form looks like, totally empty.

Now, I go about filling it. The URL is self explanatory.

For the title, I went to the Google Keyword Tool, although you can also use the WA keyword tool as well, and put in “baked ravioli recipe.” I ended up narrowing it down using the checkbox for ideas closely related to my search term, and that gave me 3. so I dropped recipe, and ended up with more search terms. This isn't high volume searches, but that's okay. Each of those search terms, I put in for my title.

For the description, I did the same thing I always do. I write up a short description, and then I go in and add the spintax and change the words around. SocialMonkee now interfaces with The Best Spinner, so if you have that, this will make things easier. I don't use spinning software, so I do it all by hand.

My initial description was: Are you looking for the best baked ravioli recipe? Smadronia's managed to come up with a recipe that's not only easy, but is sure to make you want more. It's even better the next day!

Yes, I am a big dork. But it is better the next day. So, I took that, and spun it. This is probably not the best spin I can think of.

Then I added tags. In addition to the obvious ravioli, I chose Italian food, and recipe, because they're relevant.

For category, I chose other. Lifestyle may have worked, but I'm not sure, and I'd rather be grouped under other than the wrong thing.

Here's how it looks finished, before submitting. See how it check the URL to see if it's already been submitted?

Wondering how the Preview button works? Keep reading and I'll show you.

Thank you both for the comments. I tried to explain step by step, because while it's simple to use, that doesn't mean it can't have problems (like dashes and apostrophes).

I haven't used it on articles yet, but I think that would be an excellent use for it. Since articles don't usually need a lot of backlinks, one submission with SocialMonkee should be enough to help them rank.

Like how you break it down and show how it works. Might give it a whirl. Not to my websites. Just the articles around it.
