WA Keyword Tool: Great, but Not Timely Data

I use the WA Keyword Tool for most things, but as I develop a new section to my WA promotion site I need keywords that are timely. As you can see below, the WA Keyword Tool is not timely.

Reason for this.....

The reason is because the WA Keyword Tool uses keywords that were popular ONE MONTH AGO. It is one month behind in its search data, so current events are not going to be calculated in the data.

Here are some screenshots to illustrate:

In this screenshot, you can the keyword "apple vs fbi" was searched less then 10 times LAST month, but I want to know how many times has that keyword been searched RECENTLY.

Also in this screenshot you can how many times the keyword "government and apple privacy issues" has been searched LAST month - less than 10.

In this screenshot, I can get some great ideas if I were developing a website on Apple desert recipes......but that is not what I am after. The "apple and fbi" keyword did yield 40 searches last month, but I am sure that is not accurate for today's data.

Hi Steph, I purchased Jaaxy cause there was a special and I had to do it right away or I would have had to pay the regular price. I am still at the beginning and not quite finished with lesson 2 yet. Did I make the right decision purchasing it now or would I have been better off using the alphabet soup method for now?

I did ask Kyle back then if I should purchase Jaaxy but I never heard back so I just figured I would get it then. I am paying 19 a month but haven't used it yet. I don't know if I should keep it.

What do you think? and thanks for that info.

Another issue is the dissimilarity between how Google operates versus How Bing and Yahoo operate. h2 subheadings on your front page carry much heavier weight with Bing and Yahoo than they do with Google. Google sends many visitors to sites thru the back door, a page other than the intended front or landing page.

That is interesting. I had not know about the <h2> heading carrying more weight in Bing and Yahoo than Google. I know the search engines all have different algorithms but do not know the specifics. Thank you for the information. Do you know of a website which lists all of the algorithmic differences with each search engine. That information may not exist (trade secrets) but thought I would ask.

I'm basing a lot of this on my own experience without knowing what is actually on the search algorithms. When you find big differences in the way you are ranked with different search engines you begin to piece together some of the reasons for it.
