What is CPC?

CPC stands for "cost per click"

This time you, the publisher, are paid each time a visitor clicks the ad/banner/link being displayed as long as you deliver the visitor to the advertiser’s website.

It makes no difference what happens now. The visitor doesn't need to buy anything or stay on the website. All that matters is that you delivered a person to your advertisers website.

Be aware that while this might sound great...you cant just sit and click your own links all day....the businesses that sell this type of ad most definitely monitor the number of clicks the ad gets...and that prevents naughty publishers (us) artificially inflating click through rates

The pay rate for CPC ads ranges from a few cents to a few dollars, depending on what the advertiser has paid to have the ad displayed. This is a good method for those starting out...and old timers alike...often these ads can be set up and left alone

Thank you, Jason! It is so easy to get confused out there which 'C' method was what.....I have bookmarked for my silly butt to go to....in a days' time between various social media, emails sent/received, affiliate offers......it is easy to get those darn 'C's tangled up....lol

It's funny I just signed up for Cafepress and saw these for the first time. Of course I had no idea what they meant, but had to pick one to continue. At least now I know what I picked. Do you know if you can change it after you've applied? Thanks Jason. Great training.
