The first thing you will need to do is head over to the WA Banners section of the Super Affiliate program on the following page:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/affiliates/wa/banners

Note:
If you are not already a member of the Super Affiliate program, you will be requested to opt in to the program. In doing so you gain access to a series of tools and resources designed to maximize your earning potential as a WA affiliate.
Inside the banner section there are a number of banners covering a range of promotional platforms. They are:

  • General
  • Google
  • Facebook
  • Wordpress

Once you have decided which banner you would like to use, the html code that you need for your promotions is in the box underneath your chosen banner. As you can see from the image below, your WA affiliate link is already included within the code, so there's absolutely nothing to add to make it functional.

Also note that the actual banner images are hosted by Wealthy Affiliate, so you do not need to worry about uploading images to your own webspace because it's all done for you!

In the image above you can see the location of your affiliate link (underlined in red), and it's here that we will make a tiny adjustment to the code to include a tracking ID.

The first thing you need to do is copy all of the text for your chosen banner, and there are 2 ways to do this:

1) Highlight all of the text in the box, right-click the highlighted text and select copy.
2) Click inside the text box so that the cursor is actually inside, then holddown ctrl on your keyboard, and press A to select all of the text, andwith ctrl still held down, press c.

Both the above methods will copy the text for your banner to your clipboard.

The easiest way to edit your banner link text is to use a basic text editor, and for that I use Notepad (standard on a PC). With a new Notepad document open and the cursor on the page, I can either press and hold ctrl and press V, or right-click on the document and select paste.

Both the above methods will paste the banner code on to the document.

Now it's time to add a small piece of code to the end of the affiliate link within the code, so that we can track how many clicks/sales your promotion brings. To do that I'm going to add the following:

&data1;=***

The '***' part can be anything you choose, but I tend to use something related to that particular promotion. So, for the sake of this tutorial, I'm going to use 'ban1' so that I can instantly recognize that it's a click/sale from my banner ad. So my additional code would now be:

&data1=ban1

Now I'm going to take the piece of additional code, and add it to my affiliate link inside my banner link code:

VERY IMPORTANT
The easiest way to add this code is to type it in, and it's VITAL that you put it directly at the end of your affiliate link, with no spaces before, and no spaces after - as in the image above.

Great, you're all done! Now that you have successfully added a tracking ID to your banner link, you can save the document to your computer for when you need to add it to your promotional campaigns.

Now let's make sure the link works properly!
