PDF (Document Sharing) Websites
In the old days, the PDF wasn't searchable by Google and the other search engines. But, that changed a little while back. And, now you can convert any article to a PDF with one of the many free PDF converters (ensuring the converter keeps your anchor text links clickable) and upload them to the various PDF websites and again gain a high-quality, high-powered backlink.
A few solid places to do this:

Slideshare is one of the most powerful places to get a backlink. You can also leave a rather long description of the document and gain referral traffic from that description alone. But, that DA is nearly unheard of. Keep in mind Google.com is DA 100 - the maximum. So, Slideshare rocks!

Okay, on to the next method for high-quality backlinks to push your Google ranking through the roof!
Still - each person here at WA has to decide what is best for their website(s). I've talked with people who think backlinks have been one of the key factors in the success of their sites. I've talked with others who are very much opposed to them.
In the end, it's up to each of us to educate ourselves. As for me, I respect your input here and I respect what Kyle and Carson have built.
It's good to have different perspectives so we can continue to grow and diversify our sites. After all, one of the key factors WA offers is our community.
I'm looking forward to your next blog.
In Faith,
~Cathy
