On the Sidebar of the Page
The sidebar is a very commonplace to find opt-in subscription forms; however, it may not be capable of having the desired effect on your audience. Sometimes, people tend to overlook it when they arrive at a blog page.
Even if you’ll be using it, it should be in addition to having the forms placed in other strategic points on the page.
On the Welcome Mat
When your visitors arrive on your landing page, you may offer them something in exchange for their email addresses.
The welcome mat will completely cover the screen and compel the readers to take any action before they can proceed. The visitor has the option of accepting or rejecting your offer after which he is allowed to proceed.
On Your About Page
When visitors land on your site, they navigate to your About page where they will get information about you and what to expect on your website.
Since most visitors visit the About page, it is an excellent place where you can place your opt-in form. To increase your chances of conversion, it will be good to have up to three types of forms on the page.
The Slide-in
This form is simple and does not obstruct your readers' flow. It usually triggers when your visitor gets up to some point in your content. It can slide it from the left or right bottom of your post. You can place it when your audience has scrolled past 80% of your content.
