Submitting an Inactive Email Address
Using an inactive email address for commenting is another horrific commenting mistake.
Whether it’s done intentionally or accidentally, the fact is that the use of an inactive email can break up the communication gap between the blog owner and the comment author.
If you’re scared of using your real email address for commenting, then I have a few suggestions on what you can simply do. You can create up to 4 email addresses, each to be used for a specific purpose.
- One email address for outreach emails
- One email address for commenting
- One for building lists; and
- Another one for building relationship and communicating with your audiences.
Submitting an Email Address that is Not Associated with a Gravatar Account
Using an email address that is not associated with Gravatar is a horrific commenting mistake you must avoid. If you’re not commenting the right way, you won’t be surprised to see no results at all
Gravatar is a web tool innovated by Automattic – the owner of Akismet, WordPress, JetPack, WooCommerce and others.
Associating your email address with a Gravatar account will ensure that you get the leads, build conversions, make more sales and build lists successfully.
Gravatar is a profile picture that appears with your name everywhere you go online. When you comment or make a post on blogs, your Gravatar appears with your name.
Thanks so much for this blog. This is something that all of us should keep in mind.
I’ve been receiving some horrible comments lately and have had to delete them.
A four word comment adds no value whatsoever, yet they expect so much more on their own blogs lol.
I wish more people knew that commenting also adds to the word length of your article, so several paragraphs is wonderful!!
Cheers
