Leaving Comments that are Not Topically-Relevant
Do you endeavor to offer relevant comments? If your comments are not topically-relevant, it will be regarded as poops and blog owners wouldn’t hesitate to disapprove such.
Most times, people hurry to get their comments listed on authority blogs but they don’t struggle to make those comments relevant to the topic.
Once your comment is irrelevant, it’s nothing but spam. And such comments don’t get published. They get trashed.
Offering Comments to Non-Industry Blogs
Though it isn’t a taboo really commenting on non-industry blogs, it’s certain that you may not be able to convert as much as you would if you were leaving more on niche-related blogs.
While targeting your right audiences through commenting on niche-related blogs, try dropping some comments on mainstream blogs too – blogs like the Huffington blog and the likes.
Contributing Instead of Inquiring and Vice Versa
Knowing what exactly to do as to whether you should add your two cents or just ask some questions would depend on whether you’re leaving comments on an industry or non-industry blog.
Definitely you won’t be able to offer valuable comments if it’s not your industry. In that regard, it would be normal to ask questions rather than trying to contribute what you know nothing about.
But you can contribute well to a discussion in your comments so far you’re leaving comments on an industry blog post.
Thanks so much for this blog. This is something that all of us should keep in mind.
I’ve been receiving some horrible comments lately and have had to delete them.
A four word comment adds no value whatsoever, yet they expect so much more on their own blogs lol.
I wish more people knew that commenting also adds to the word length of your article, so several paragraphs is wonderful!!
Cheers
