If you would carefully observe, there are particular topics that captivate readers to take actions more quickly than others. For instance, blog commenting is one of such topics for readers are always curious to learn about it more to avoid costly mistakes that can frustrate their SEO endeavors.

While leveraging blog commenting, you need to be cautious lest you make such costly mistakes that most struggling veterans make. Sometimes, I see many veterans make horrific commenting mistakes in that regard. So, I decided to write this tutorial in order to help as many as possible that are always willing to move their blogging game to the next level in respect of blog commenting.

Offering comments to blogs isn’t a must but a necessity. It has a lot of benefits for brand awareness, brand visibility and relationship building. If you’re adding this to blogging routines, you need to be very cautious not to leave spam comments – meaning that to make the most out of blog commenting as well as get noticed on time, you must offer genuine and attention-grabbing comments.

Whether you’re leaving comments on blogs or accepting comments on your own blog, commenting is a necessity when it comes to growing a blog as well as making it go viral on time.

In case you might not be aware of this, a lot of people that rock their blogs today do hire the services of some virtual assistants to help them leave comments on many industry-related blog posts. This way, they do what is called comment outsourcing the same way freelance writers do on platforms like Fiverr, SEOClerks and others.

I’ve had several encounters with the founders of many authority blogs out there who were spending several hours visiting blogs, reading blog posts and leaving comments on a weekly basis. Purposefully, they were doing these to build brand awareness, visibility, online presence, and attract more potential audiences.

Just as you know your readers visit other people’s blogs and read posts there, you can as well start doing the same to improve your SEO and build website traffic.

One of the most vital blogging tips you must know is that it’s better not leaving comments at all than doing it wrongly. The kind of person you are doesn’t matter in blog commenting. If your comment doesn’t contribute to the value the content conveys to the readers, then you’ve definitely been making one of the horrific mistakes I’m about to share with you here.

If your comments constantly add to the value the content assigns, then you’re going to earn more with your blog.

Listed below are the 7 horrific mistakes you must avoid when leaving comments on blogs:

  1. Leaving poops in comments (Comment spam)
  2. Not filling up your full name in your comments
  3. Submitting an inactive email address
  4. Submitting an email address that is not associated with a Gravatar account
  5. Leaving comments that are not topically-relevant
  6. Offering comments to non-industry blogs
  7. Contributing instead of inquiring and vice versa

    Hi Israel,
Thanks so much for this blog. This is something that all of us should keep in mind.
I’ve been receiving some horrible comments lately and have had to delete them.
A four word comment adds no value whatsoever, yet they expect so much more on their own blogs lol.
I wish more people knew that commenting also adds to the word length of your article, so several paragraphs is wonderful!!
    Cheers
