1. Utilize Over 2 Billion Potential Reach

About 60% of the global internet users have at least one account on Facebook. Every niche, nation and continent has representatives on Facebook. With this kind of population, there's no need describing how far your ads can get to.

The use of Facebook for advertising levels the playing field for businesses, irrespective of their sizes, workforce, resources or capital base. A business run from a garage anywhere in the world can favorably compete with the likes of IBM, Toyota, and Microsoft for the global audience. Facebook makes that possible, and with a lot of other benefits for the small, medium, or big businesses.

2. Get a Bite of People's Social Media Time

It has been estimated that people spend an average of 1.72 hours daily on social media. That is a major part of someone's day if you factor in other activities that they are involved with. This tells you the level of social media penetration into our daily lives. Facebook is the biggest social media network by users, and therefore one of the major platforms where this time is spent.

People go online to connect with new friends, chat with friends and family, and to find out what the new trends are. A well positioned Facebook ad could also benefit from this time spent on social media to sell a business or its brands to prospecting customers.

My friend, I have a question. I've never had a Facebook and now decided to make one for my advertising. This means I have no audience yet, nor followers or friends. Does this matter when I'm first starting out or can I just build up a following with just advertising right off the bat?

-"When people start liking and commenting on your posts, you can invite them to like your page"

So you're saying that I should also focus on directing my audience towards my Facebook as much as I do my website?

What AbieAJ was trying to say is that you need to start first with growing your blog audience through blog content and comments, then share your posts with the audience using the share buttons. From here, you can direct users to your Facebook page and start building a following.

Man, you are hitting the nail on the head. A few days ago, I started looking into this. I also found that Google is offering something similar to FB as well...but I haven't looked into that much yet. Thanks for another excellent training and information.
