5) Avoid Selling all the time

    Obviously, as marketers our overall objective is sales, we are here to sell. Whatever it might be, product, services or even acquiring leads, its all about sales. But pushing it all over your content will push your audience away. They may even want your product, but pushing it to them all the time will turn them off. No one likes receiving newsletters whose focus is just sales all the time.

    Rather concentrate on building relationships with your audience by building trust. Build trust by being open, deliver quality content in exchange for trust and loyalty first.

    6) Neglecting Analytics

      Putting effort into social media without measuring our success is not good for business. In the same way, we are interested in measuring the success of our email campaigns, the same should be extended to our social media.

      Evaluate your follower’s quality, how much popularity your post has gained, and also customer’s conversion alongside their buying trends.

      The following will help in ascertaining these metrics

      • Reaction to your post always observes the consistency with your audience's reaction to your post. You should know when there is a drop or an increase in engagement
      • Analyze your sales, proper insight into the buying patterns of your customer is a good indication of the set of customers whose loyalty you have gained. Such customers will be open to cross-selling.
      • Evaluate your customer's feedback on the usage of your services or products. It goes a long way to tell you if they are happy or not.

      In conclusion, social media marketing and customer services have moved beyond been a formality; they have grown to the point where brands engage their audience for customer retention cross-selling of their products.

      Adopting the right Social media marketing tactics will help acquire the audience, convert them to customers, and open up higher gateways for upselling and cross-selling your products.
