Ways to Make Money from Advertising

Here are 6 simple ways that are easy and quick to get started with making money on your site. Bloggers can benefit from one or more of the ways highlighted below.

1. Sell Your Own Advertising

If you have been successful at building traffic to your blog, you can sell ad spaces to advertisers directly. Your Google PageRank is a good metric to use when attracting advertisers to your blog.

There are also third party service providers that help you sell ads on your blog. The more common service providers are BuySellAds and BlogAds.

2. PPC Advertising

PPC (Pay per Click) advertising is one of the most common advertising models on the internet. It is also known as Cost per Click (CPC), and it refers to a system of advertisement where publishers earn money for every click on ads displayed on their blogs. A higher number of clicks means more earnings for the publisher.

Media.net is the best alternative to Google AdSense for contextual ads. With time and usage, the advertising network's algorithm optimizes the publisher's blog to ensure the best keywords are displayed to visitors.

Infolinks is also another option for serving PPC ads. They offer in-text advertising offering publishers up to 70% revenue share on the ads. The in-text links appear as underlined texts and only become ads when clicked. There are other options such as search ads, intag ads, and inframe ads for publishers to take advantage of.

3. Sell Text Links

A blog or website that has been built up with good organic traffic can be used for selling text links. These links are placed on your site and when clicked lead to a web page on the advertiser's page.

A well-known text-link network to help with selling the text links is LinkWorth.

4. CPM Ads Networks

CPM (Cost per Thousand) is an alternative to CPC where advertisers pay publishers an agreed amount for every 1,000 ad impression. For example, a CPM ad rated at $5 means that the publisher earns $5 for every 1,000 impressions on the blog. A total impression of 100,000 would earn $500 ($5 x 100).

PulsePoint is a well-known CPM network for publishers to access CPM ads.

Grateful for the information, it's something I will come back to when I am a bit further along in my journey.
I'm very new at using the internet in a business/make money sense and also using the WA platform.
I am coming up with ideas for content that I know I would want to read about with my interest (niche) - I do like the way you put that-- look through the readers glasses.
Have a wonderful day Israel.
