Hi all,
I am at the stage where it is probably a good idea to start creating a mailing list. I have looked through training options and there seems to be a split between Ma

I'm glad you asked this question because I'm still on the fence about what auto responder to use as well!!

I tried convertkit free for 3 weeks. I liked it and it is pretty easy to use. However its costs $29.99 per month so I didn't join. I don't think I have enough followers to start up just yet!

I will look into Aweber as it seems to be a popular option with most WA peeps!

Hope you find one that you like and please let us know how it works out for you?

Have a great day!!

Miranda:)

Hi Miranda,
I did read about covertkit, I'm just worried about the work that goes into trialling one but then having to do it all again with a different type!
I will certainly update this once I pick one to try.
Cheers,
Krissy

Sounds great! I look forward to hearing what one you like best:)

Cheers!!!

I agree with Dave. You should create mailing list. There are several email auto-responder services you can use. Some like Mailchimp have a free plan. There are others. Many do not welcome affiliate marketers but Aweber is OK.

That is interesting to know that affiliate marketers are not welcomed... I will look more into Aweber

I am testing Moosend for free. Got accepted. Let’s see how it goes.

Hi Kristie

Creating a mailing list is definitely a good move for your business.

As for auto responder services , Aweber is the best choice in my opinion but it does have costs. You can start building your list for free with mail chimp but they have strict rules about sending out emails with affiliate links in them - which isn’t ideal for an affiliate marketing business.

You can start with them for free to get used to building a list and eventually if it’s going well you could consider moving everything to a premium service like aweber.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your suggestions... my biggest concern has been that prices are all in USD, once I convert it to Australian it jumps up a fair bit. So I don't want to commit to paid subscription until I have time to play around with it and learn.

I do like your suggestion of starting with MailChimp and then moving across to Aweber. I will definitely take that into consideration.

Krissy

I think you mean aweber. That's what I use personally. I don't think the price is that bad if you have less than 500 subscribers. You can also get additional discount by paying annually or every three months. I decided to go with Aweber because it will allow to scale my business without any hassle in the future. It's also the industry standard so you'll find a lot more tutorials for it.

Hi Jukkah, I am based in Australia and since (nearly every) program uses USD dollars I have to take conversion rates & fees into account. While I have read a lot of positive things about Aweber on WA (as well as on google), it is hard to balance the additional cost per month at the moment.

Good question and this should help. By AWere, I take it you mean AWeber. That being the case then AWeber is easier to use and costs $19.95 monthly for the the first 2000 Subscribers I think it is

Mailchimp, is free and has in my opinion way more benefits than AWeber, but is slightly harder to learn.

Having tried both I weigh up the features and benefits of anything when making a decision. My leaning is towards Mailchimp, simply because it has more benefits to you as a marketer and can be used for both the offline and online market place.

Thank you for your response Dave, mailchimp is supposed to be easier. Do you currently use it or a different program?

Mailchimp is harder to use and I use it on one of my sites.
