Yep, that is another tip that goes against everyone’s nature .Don’t edit your first draft until you are done writing it. The first thing you want to do when your spell checker indicates that you have spelled a word incorrectly is to go back and fix it.
DON’T DO IT.
It takes a lot of time to fix that error and it breaks the flow of your work. If you edit while you write it changes a half hour writing session into hours of painful work.
So don’t stop to reword a sentence, add in new text, correct that spelling error – just don’t stop. The most important thing is to KEEP ON GOING! This is a draft and not the final product so it DOES NOT MATTER! Editing is what you do after you write your first draft. It is when you take that messy thing you wrote, tidy it up and make it pretty! And don’t forget, this whole process is not about perfection, it is about sharing information!
