Promoting Your Site in Online Forums
It is old school, but it works, although not magically of course but it's free. The Internet offers thousands of very targeted email based discussion lists, online forums, and groups made up of people with very specialized interests. Find the ones pertaining to your site and leave links to your site in the body of your discussion. You can even use google groups in addition to keyword searches to help you find related forums.

Yes, it's one of things I realized because when I searched here I mostly just saw abou SEO and social media, so I thought, hey, why not add what I found?
