I am starting to get a better understanding of some great advantages of Google Search Console !

This tip is geared toward use after you begin getting some traffic. I keep notebooks on things I learn along the way, so that when the time is right, they can be of great value. For those already getting traffic, it will work great. For those who are still early in the process, it may be a noteworthy tip.

If you use Google Search Console you can help better index and rank your website!

If you are not familiar with the Google Search Console, it’s not difficult to use at all ! You simply need a free Google account and you are off! If your website hasn’t been added to the list of properties and verified you will need to do that first.

Step1 –

  1. Go to Google Search Console and click on Search traffic on the left. Then click on Search analytics. This is where you will get your traffic stats.
  2. Then click on pages to get a list of your pages and how they rank in search traffic from most popular to least popular.
  3. Pick the page that you want more traffic on and click on it
  4. Then Click on queries at the top. This will show you a list of all the keywords that drive traffic to that page.

Step 2

  1. Make a list of the top keywords in that list
  2. Open that web page and add these keywords into the content. Being careful not to keyword stuff. The added keywords may require another sentence or even a paragraph to make sense and fit into the flow of the content. If you can’t add a certain keyword without it looking unnatural or out of place, leave it out. In some cases the act of using this strategy will add 500 or more words to your particular content which will also help the rankings. (Do not over stuff keywords!)

Step 3-

Add the best keyword or keywords to your title or meta description. (Again, only if it fits properly and looks organic)

Step 4-

Go back to your Google Search console dashboard and submit the url, and click request. This will tell Google that the page has been updated and they will re-crawl that page within a week or so. Within a few weeks you should start seeing an increase in the traffic.

Thank you. I strongly prefer text to videos, if it's not something showing me exactly what to click when. And even in this case screenshots can be better
