1. Lists are Memorable
It's easier for the brain to retain information if we break down things or space them out. You can retain key points even if you don’t remember every word in the article.
Listicles are broken down into subheads. This is how our brains work. They love it. It makes them happy.
Readers retain lists for longer periods of time than they do with conventional articles. For example, if you leave your grocery list at home, you will likely still be able to recall most of the items because you can remember where they were on the list.
Write a list so your readers don't forget.
2. Lists Are Time-Savers
We would all love to be able to read the entire article at leisure, but most people would find that difficult to do. Maybe you are a workaholic but want to keep up with all the latest information and news.
No matter what your lifestyle or work ethic, a listicle can help you quickly get the information you need and let you go about your day.
3. Lists Make Us Feel Organized
Your brain learns new information every time it encounters it. It then needs to organize the information it has just learned.
Being organized can help you relax and make you more productive. When your brain sees a listicle, it goes "ah!" and exhales in relief.
Next, more reasons why we use lists.
This training caught my one eye (one joke here) because I just can't handle the fuss and struggle of doing long posts.
So, I was doing 2 list posts before and this training confirms that I am on the right track.
Who knows maybe I am creating a masterpiece?
Thank you Lily for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.
All the best!
