4 days at Yosemite
We're headed out to Yosemite this morning and we'll be returning Sunday.
4 glorious days in the wilderness enjoying natures gifts, but if we're going camping to enjoy nature how come we have to take so much civilization with us?
Whenever I go camping with my wife, Dana we go through this ritual of her creating a huge pile of "necessities", and then me going through and paring it down. Because do we really need a glow in the dark skeleton to hang over our tent door?
Anyway enough of my rant, I have to get busy unpacking so everything will fit in the truck. I just wanted to leave a quick note that I will be gone for the next 4 days and I'll touch base when I return.

Have a great time. We go to Yosemite twice a year. Just got a small RV so our trips from now on won't involve tenting. I'm getting too old to get up off the ground without a crane. Enjoy your time.
Its small. A 2106 coachmen leprechaun 190qs 19 ft. Its just for the two of us so its perfect. We have a ton of camping equipment, but I just want to be more comfortable. I live in northern Canada with native people for decades hunting and trapping and have had my fill of roughing it. I thought that we were roughing it in the RV with only 1 TV so I bought one for the little bedroom.
Wow, that's a nice looking unit. That would definitely get into all our fishing holes along the eastern Sierras! Nice job James!!
Yup, I know what ya' mean on the TV. We never really use 'em when we're up there. Occasionally we'll do more of an RV type of trip and we'll use them then. We usually do a sermon or some teaching after campfires and then hit the rack. Our pastor did a 92 week SS series on church history and we've only gotten through it one time... always take it camping with us though...(-:
Sounds like a great time. I love Yosemite. But I'm closer to Yellowstone and Glacier. Those are kind of nice too.
Your pre-trip prep sounds like mine and my wife's. But I have to agree with her on 1 point. A glow in the dark skeleton is a necessity. It keeps bears away. :)
