65 posts; over 100,000 words written; and 14 posts on page 1!
I just posted my 65th post, and have now written over 100,000 words for my website. Whew! Feels pretty good.
My website is 3 months and 1 week old, and I'm pleased with the way it looks, and the quality of the content I've published.
My site traffic is still low, but I'm getting visits every day. As a matter of fact, there's someone on there right now! I love that feature of Google Analytics. : )
At the moment, I have 14 posts on Page 1 of Google - and 3 of those are #1. I'm pretty stoked about THAT.
I'm learning to use Pinterest. I don't know that it has made much of a difference yet, but I'll keep at it, and see what happens. I also use Facebook some. I'm not great at it, but I'm learning.
I don't have any sales yet, but I do get clicks on my affiliate links, so hopefully things will kick in soon. I know that it's early days yet, so I'm trying to be patient. Luckily, I really enjoy writing; and I love my niche topic, and have lots to write about. So that keeps me busy.
The learning never ends
I have learned so much here, it feels like it's been longer than just over 3 months. But the learning doesn't stop. Just today I learned which plugin to install to optimize my images so my site speed is faster. So far so good!
Reading member blogs always uncovers little nuggets of information that helps me fine tune my site, and hopefully move me closer to my goals.
And of course, there are plenty of videos in the Classrooms, although many of them are out-of-date. I'm really looking forward to updated videos on the site this year.
Moving forward
I'm so looking forward to reaching the next level. I'm putting all my energy into learning how to increase my traffic, and create the best content I can.
I'm making Pinterest pins, and sharing stuff on Facebook. I'm joining online gardening groups, and sharing links to my website when appropriate.
And I'm keeping a positive attitude! Which I think is super important in keeping up morale, and staying focused on the prize.
I wish you all the best of luck with your ventures!
Cheers
Tracy
