- What gets you up in the morning?
- What makes your toe tap?
- What moves your physical being?
- What Inspires you?
- What will make you get in a better position financially?
- What makes you be the better version of you?
MOTIVATION is literally the desire to do things. It's the difference between waking up and saying tomorow and waking up and saying NOW. It's the crucial element in setting and attaining goals and research shows you can influence your own levels of motivation and self-control. So figure out what you want, power through the pain period, and start being who you want to be.
All of us have MOTIVATION inside of us, but how to we wake it up so that becomes active?
Start with a plan............A good plan should specify five things:
- when YOU are going to work on your goal
- where YOU are going to do it,
- how YOU are going do it,
- how long YOU will do it,
- YOUR backup plan to ensure your sucess
Its WAY too easy to say on Thursday night, I am going to start working out. Friday comes you share this revelation with a friend hoping to inspire others to be motivated as well. Sunday eve comes around you set your alarm for 6 am and have a little buz about going for that power walk to kick start your new plan. BZZZZZZ goes the alarm and you hit snooze, while laying there you give yourself a million reasons why you should wait and start on Tuesday. Sound familiar? So, how do we change the sabotage routine?
IF you are that person that continually sabotages yourself then start here: Each morning start a new routine (if you already do this GREAT, add a few more affirmations) wake up with or without an alarm, grab a glass of water (not coffee, not juice, WATER) look yourself in the mirror and give yourself 3 personal affirmations
- I am beautiful inside and out
- I like my smile
- I am a really good listener
- I like the shape of my head
