Wa friends, be aware of this scam email

Hi WA friends,

i am four days into my journey with WA and i am currently doing course 2 in my training,when i joined i knew nothing about this business at all, so everything is new to me and i have a lot to learn.

This morning i logged in to my email account to find i had an email titled;

This is your Final Notice of Domain Listing.

I opened the email to read it, and found it asking me to register my domain name, it mentioned WHOISGUARD PROTECTED, and failure to register would result in my domain name being difficult to find in all the search engines.

In my training i purchased a domain name with Namecheap.com recommended by WA, so i logged into my account there to find that WHOISGUARD was enabled already and expired next year with my domain name, so now i was a bit confused, so i asked the question at WA

A few minutes later i had a reply from a friend informing that the email was a SCAM, he even gave me the info for the scammer..

The email account i received it at was a new account that i created purely for WA, so i didn't expect to get scam emails. I cant believe i was that naive, and the more i look at it now the more it doesn't look authentic.

This is who i received it from,

Domain Notice domains@searchdomainreg.com via registrar-servers.com

I hope this helps everybody in case anyone else receives similar

Best wishes,

Tosh

Wow! Thank you for the warning.

There are bad guys lurking everywhere looking for any way they can to get our money, credit card info, etc. So sad there are so many nasty people.

Thanks again,
Eileen
