What’s that coming over the hill.?
Is it commission? Is it commission?
No, not yet. But it will be soon!
You see, that’s essentially what we want to happen with our sites. We want to monetise them.
I know, I know, we are here to help, advise and inform our customers about whatever our niche is, but we aren’t just sitting here with empty wallets saying ‘I feel good because now that person knows more about this thing I’m writing about. They didn’t buy from me and I can’t eat today but boy did I help that person!’
It feels amazing to help someone gain a greater understanding, but at the same time it ain’t putting food on the table!
Yet!
That’s the important word there, YET! We should have high expectations for the end result but we need to have lower regular expectations of where we will be tomorrow.
As many people have said on their blogs before ‘This is not a get rich quick scheme’ and thank the lord for that. There’s no such thing anyway, it’s fools gold to chase after that.
Earning money takes time, I know that because I haven’t made any yet! But I also know that with time and by following the training it will come eventually.
‘If you build it he will come’ a line from the film Field of Dreams and I feel that this is particularly relevant in WA. Build your site, add your content, people will come to your site.
Don’t lose faith, keep going, do what you need to do but be realistic and be patient. I admit I’m not so good at either of those, I want to leave my day job right now!!
But I can’t because I simply cannot afford to but if I make a plan, set realistic goals and continue to build my website then eventually sales will come!
All the best
Tony

I think a lot of people, in life in general, tend to overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in five. You absolutely have to have a lot of patience with this pursuit. In the end, I believe it will pay off. I try to fast forward this movie 5 years ahead in my mind, and take a look at what I think it will look like then when I get impatient. Thanks for the post, and best wishes.
