Hi Tony..Woweee. How the other half life lol. I'm so glad you've written this post as you might be able to help me as I don't fully get the spamming rules yet. Like you have shared your friends house which is on your website, am I allowed to share some of my hubbys photographs which are on on his photography site. Is that the same as what you have done yourself or would I be spamming folk.
Would really appreciate your advice.
Thank you! :)
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl

That's not spamming. If you have your hubbys permission, then there is no problem.

However, the last time I heard was that Google is looking into doing then same thing with images as they have done with content.

Which is simple put - if you copy paste someone else written material into your site, you will get seriously penalised and lose rankings on your site.

What is your site?

Have fun

Hi Harin
My site is http://thebestwaytowhitenyourteethathome.com/
However, I didnt mean put his photography on my site but on my profile as a blog here at WA and a link back to his site. If someone for example then purchased an image they had seen here, surely that would be considered spamming as hubby would be making money from it.
Sorry if I'm not explaining myself very well lol.
Really appreciate your help :)

I am sorry Cheryl,

I don't get it :))
So you want to use his images on your profile (blog section on your profile at WA) and if someone from here purchased one then...

Did I understand that right?

Harin

2

Hi Harin....we will get there haha

Ok....

Can I create blog here that says?....

"hi everyone This is some of my hubbys photography that I would like to share with you, blah blah blah...here's a link to his website"

If someone then clicked on that link and went on to purchase any of his work from his site, would I be spamming them? Because in effect, he would be benefiting financially from a link placed here at WA, wouldn't he?

Don't worry if I'm still not making sense lol. If doubtful, I just won't do it to be on the safe side. Hopefully Tony will be able to help me out :)

Thank you so much anyway, you have been SO patient :)

OK, I get it now, phew finally lol

First,
Spamming is when you send email to people who have not requested.

Secondly,
I am not sure WA would have any issues with that. But do check with Kyle and Carson.

Third,
In actual-fact you are setting a site to accompany your husbands business. In the process you are learning and earning. I see nothing wrong with that.

If you make your site as a secondary site to you husbands and link to his site, writing good content and linking to different pages on his site. His site will benefit - in a very positive way.

There you have it.

Regards
Harin

Lordy! I knew the soil was rich over there, but wow!

1

So if it sells off of your website, do you have an agreement for commission splitting? ;-)

2

10% of the commission Peter, comes to about $10,000 or so

3

10% of 12 million would be $1,200,000... So if that house does sale.. make sure you are getting the correct commission... lol...

Unless you just mistyped the info.. $10k.. would be like 1%...

2

10% of the commission. I made that mistake too. :-)

2

Hi Tony, 10% of 12 million is 1.2 million!

2

The commission isn't 10% of the sale price, the commission is 10% of my Friends commission John. Thank You
