Recommended Wordpress Plugins
Having made a few websites and trying a bunch of different plugins (some for fun, some for usefulness). I just wanted to post a couple of my favorites.
Tweetily (FREE!). This is easily one of my favorites. This plugin automatically tweets posts from your website to your Twitter account. You can add hashtags, change frequency of tweets, add a random time between tweets. This has been really helpful in growing my twitter following. It's so easy for a single tweet to become lost in all the noise. This helps provide a steady stream of automated tweets going out. You can tell it to also post pages, or completely ignore other ones (I leave out my terms and conditions page out for example). I'd recommend waiting until you have a lot of posts before doing this, but it's totally up to you.
Pretty Link (FREE and paid). Many of you have probably heard of this one. This is nice for making affiliate link look nice. It also lets you go in and tweet your links AND keeps track of how many hits the link receives. Super nice.
SumoMe (FREE and paid). Another that you have probably heard of. You can choose which features to add/use. There are some good free ones and really excellent premium. Nice easy way to add an email collector, social media shares, etc in an all in one program. Setup is a bit "weird", it doesn't have the best interface and isn't always friendly, but with some time you'll get it. The free version is very functional so you don't have to feel obligated to buy. I haven't paid for any of it (yet) and it works well for me.

I currently use Pretty Link, it's great. I'm yet to try out SumoMe - a lot of people swear by this! Tweetily sounds good also, might investigate this also. Great post.
