What is the Secret to Success?
Failure.
Success.
Are they the endpoints?
Hardly. If you do not know great failure, you will never know great success.
Both are part of a journey that builds upon itself. Longstanding success comes to those who understand what it takes.
Consideration of others.
Hard work and passion are all a part of achieving longstanding success.
These lessons were hard-learned for me, but oh, what a difference they have made in my life.
Do you desire success?
Passion is what comes first.
Desire to be the best.
To be better than we are today. But passion only goes so far. We are in a competitive world. We as individuals like to think of ourselves as the best, in most everything we do, and rightfully so.
The fire in our bellies burns bright, but also sometimes engulfs more than intended.
Competition is at the heart of all greatness.
The most memorable combination of passion and competition comes from legendary rivalry, Ali versus Frazier, Lakers versus Celtics, and Yankees versus Red Sox. To name a few.
These rivalries, cheer many things, including excitement, passionate fans, and sometimes borders.
But the greatest thrill of all comes by overcoming the odds.
Selling on Amazon, affiliate marketing, running a business, it's no different.
In sports and a business, our competitive fires must burn intensely.
To be the best we have to know the battles we will face. That comes from training and learning. Everyone learns something new at some point.
How we adapt our behavior to that information is what leads to success or failure.
This Wealthy Affiliate training is some of the best I've seen in all my years of generating profits only.
Do you accept it? Do you crave it? Are you willing to do the homework to understand how to best benefit from the training?
It's the same whether we are in the classroom, in the gym in a practice with our teammates or in the business world.
We are always being presented at some point with new training and information that can change our present situation.
Do we passionately attack the work that comes from these trainings, or do we succumb to excuses?
Those are the questions that will point our direction towards success or failure.
Many say these last couple of years have been tough.
I say we have upon us an opportunity to reinvent ourselves once again.
The toughest times often present the greatest opportunities once we set our minds upon the new challenge, instead of longing for what we already knew.
We stand today in a crossroads of our world.
There will be many crossroads and conflicts to overcome in the future as well.
All of that brings with it tests of mental toughness, courage, and strength of character.
Consideration of others is also important.
An advanced stage of humanity is the ability to show compassion for the needs of others, as well as our own. We need to care about others quite simply.
A smile, an assuring nod, a how are you doing today?
It's often all that is to turn someone else's day from bad to good.
Helping others also feels good for us.
Knowing that we were able to achieve success in a small way, by improving another person's day is unequivocally a great feeling. We need to turn to our fellow men and women to work together, overcome our doubts and misconceptions and rise up as one.
Today, we compete against someone tomorrow, they're our teammates, and the hard work doesn't end.
This is not the first time, nor will it be the last where you will deal with crisis or disappointment. You will experience failure and then success, and then failure again.
You will get knocked down.
You will get up and it will happen again, and again.
The power to always rise back up will be your greatest strength. You will adapt and refocus as necessary.
Today, you will rise up and face the challenge.
As hard as the road is, you will not let it wear you down mentally. When your inner mind says "It's taking too long, it's harder than I thought. Others are doing better than I am. More advertising dollars wasted. I should quit."
You need to tell your inner self to BE QUIT!
Do NOT let the inevitable challenges of becoming successful be the cause of your defeat.
You will be smart with your choices and make sure that you keep your body fit and your mind educated and mentally resilient. We are all in this battle of life together, these challenges that we face though they may feel so very personal to each of us, they are shared, and everyone is facing similar situations.
How do we do this?
Les Brown once said, "I have learned that to get out of life what I expect, I must commit myself to beginning each day, by concentrating on positive thoughts and focusing on my goals."
That is exactly what you will do today.
Do something positive for yourself or others today.
Many circumstances of tough times will arise in our lives, but there are common factors in the solutions. Consideration of others, hard work, and passion have always been a part of the solution, and those traits will see you through once again.
The day you think the hard work has ended is the day your failure begins.
Focus, adapt as necessary, rise up to the challenge and remember, do something every day to move you toward your goals.
Let's get it done!

Wow. This was a great article to read first thing in the morning. I feel up lifted and motivated. The thing that hits home most for me is that, in the end, there is no quantification, but rather a simple, "Do something positive for yourself and others today."
