Hi folks,

today a post on a topic, what occupies my mind at the moment.

When I read through the comments there are a lot of people asking: Why don´t I make provision? Can you give me some tips.

And then there are answers like

you have to have 30 - 60 posts on your site, that is normal.

and of course all say that quality should go over quantity

At first we all can admit that as it may obvious on some cases where the border is between quality and quantity it is quite subjective in many other cases.

As I am a beginner with building content here are my 3 reasons why I choose quantity over quality at the moment.

1. Any content is better than no content.

It helps you not to give up especially if you are a beginner. And if you are a perfectionist you know what I mean. Nothing is good enough for you to be published. And nothing is happening.

2. You learn faster to create content if you create it faster.

You create faster, make the mistakes faster and you can learn faster out of your mistakes. And you learn faster because you create constantly. And that leads us to reason three.

3. You gain flow, don´t over analyze what you are doing too much and therefore you can come faster into a state of a more natural and creative writing.

At this point if the perfect quality is your goal than you may not even get into that state and it is likely that you are gonna give up because you are not making enough progress.

So I, as a beginner, decided to prepare my blog posts with the best possible quality at a noticeable higher rate than that which satisfies my perfection. That doesn´t mean that you should not do research on your topic. Your priority should be to give the best accessible to your reader. And make sure to constantly ask for feedback.

What do you think? Can you agree with one of the arguments above or do you have other good arguments in favor of quantity over quality? Or maybe you have one or more good arguments which speak for quality over quantity?

I´m excited to hear from you.

Thanks for sharing how you go about posting, Tobias. It makes a lot of sense to me, especially since you can always update old posts later and even give them a new date.

    Hey Tobias,

This is most interesting....as being one who often suffers from wanting everything to be "just right", I had to make some adjustments and not get so caught up in trying to make it perfect, which is really a lost cause.

I went from 1 post a week, to taking a challenge to post a minimum of 3 a week. It's going great and it really does get my mental juices flowing!

    Great discussion Tobias!

    good blog T.
