It's Fall Y'all

Well, at 4:02pm EST it was officially Fall Season. I love this time of year when the weather turns cooler, the trees are putting on their show of the foliage changing colors, the decorations come out of hiding, and the aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin spice swirl in the air! Ah, can't wait to start baking again-that's my favorite go-to when the weather gets cooler. Now all the fall festivals will start up, train rides through the mountains, the pumpkin patches open, hay rides will be in full swing...I could just go on and on about why I love it!

Great Smokey Mountain Railroad

Of course, if you didn't want to take the train, you can always drive around the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Blue Ridge Belt.

Other than thinking of the season change, the only real productive thing I have accomplished today is the WAbinar on Canva~ It reminded me a lot of when I first used CorelDraw back in the day. Thanks for the memories, Jay!

Countryside in Fall

Oh, did I tell you how much I love the fall season?!!!

Can't leave out South Carolina

Well, that is the end of my fall foilage trip for now. Hope you enjoyed the journey!

Until the next stop...

Wishing you all a blessed weekend~

Tammy - Beautiful pictures. I grew up in New England and remember the vivid colors of the season. It's a great time of year for all the reasons you mentioned and so much more.

Thank you. It's so refreshing just to get out and enjoy a walk through the foilage and nature in all her beauty!

Have a blessed weekend.

Beautiful pictures. Thank You for sharing. Some people can't get around to see the beauty.

Thank you Billy! So true, it's hard for me to get around to see them now myself.

Have a blessed weekend!

And harvesting cranberries!

Hi Tammy,
It has been looking like fall here for a few weeks already...a bit early this year. The maple trees (ornamental, we don't have any wild) and a few early mountain ash trees already have red leaves! The willows and birch are mixed yellow and green still. The air is cold already in the 40's when it rains and at night.

I love the fall but it is sad since we lost my Dad on the 19th (just a few days ago) in 2014. Fall was his favorite time of year too. We did so much outside in the fall. Harvesting the garden, getting firewood for winter, collecting leaves in the custom built trailers he built pulled behind the 4-wheeler (we lived off the road system) to take home and mulch the huge gardens. It was my job to go out in the woods and collect large bags full of thick moss. Dad used that to store the root vegetables like carrots and beets layered with moss in wooden barrels. My favorite chore was harvesting and braiding onions to hang and store. One year we harvested over 300 pounds of potatoes!

We would have fresh smoked salmon cured in our smoke house with alder wood we cut and peeled and cured earlier in the summer. So many good memories!

Thanx Tammy 4 the lovely pics. U really enjoyed them. Blessed @❤

Great eye candy season Tammi. Yellows. oranges and reds!

Very nice

Gorgeous pictures, Tammy! I love Fall. Even in Southern California, it was a two blanket night for me.

My favorite time of year~ Nature teaches us a lot during this time. I know what you mean with the blankets--I've had to use them a couple of times while in Hawaii also! Felt strange!

Wow...Awesome pics. I felt like I was in the mountains. Need to plan a trip there to see the Fall foliage. I love to bake too. I like to make pumpkin thingies. We will have to bake!!

Sounds like a plan!

Beautiful pictures and upbeat article. I did not realize it was fall until I read this. Thanks Tammy

Thank you. Now is the time to watch out for flying pumpkins!
