It sounded logical. Do shorter posts, get more posts done. Right.

That works if the subject matter is really simple, a-b-c stuff. It doesn't work so well when the simple premise you start out with sort of morphs into bigger and bigger ideas and you need more and more words to cover it all. (Sigh!)

I am still making good posts. That's good.

Gotta figure out how to keep those stupid seed-thoughts from turning into giant redwoods all the time.

Onward!

Hope you guys are having fun too!

Or, each of those bigger ideas becomes it's own related posts with a link to it from the first post.

Remember, when a post keeps going on and one with topic leading into another and another, it gets hard for the reader to follow as well, so just be conscious of that when you write.

Hey Jeannine: Thank you for that reminder. It's what I've been trying to balance, I think...trying to suss out how much information is just TMI. Sheesh!

I keep forgetting that I can actually do CHAINS of posts all interconnected. Oh, yay!

THANK YOU!

You are welcome

Do not restrict yourself and " keep the seed-thoughts from turning into redwoods." Instead, let the inspiration flow and write more. Google loves longer posts.

I'm not sure I have a choice actually. My tendency is to write as long as is needed.

There are some great writing tips on Grammarly.com. I find this site very helpful

Thanks, Daniel.

I like Diane's comment. Long posts are supposed to be a good thing, so if your posts are long, that is helpful.

Mine are generally between 1,000 and 1,500 words. I have done so many (I hand-write them first) that I know how many pages I have to write to have enough words.

Thanks, Fran....
