I get a large number of readers for the content I publish on won of my websites, but few subscribers. I guess readers feel if it’s free why bother subscribing. So I&rsquo

You can have free content and block the rest for subscribers. It's like Medium, they have free content and content blocked behind a paywall.

Like Abie says, you might want to use an email newsletter.

That sounds interesting. Thanks

Like Abie said if you make your content hard to get to then they'll just go elsewhere. Instead, if you want to get more subscribers, possibly to join an email marketing campaign, then a good idea is to offer an exchange of value in return for their email addy. Jay currently has a series going for email campaigns and he's a master teacher! It'd be a good idea to check it out! 💯

I understand what you are saying. But the readers could be going elsewhere already. Nothing is obligating them to come to my content. If my content is no more valuable than the fact that it’s free. I’d like to find a way to test that premise. Maybe Jays class will address this issue. I’ll check it out. Thanks

Maybe something else is happening on your website, such as your subscription not correctly reaching your audience.

You can follow up on Jay's current email webinars to learn more, Abie

Thank you. I’ll check it out.

No worries, Dan!

You may at a later stage, once your site has traction and traffic, block some premium content for a paywall, however I think you may shooting your foot in the early stages.

IMO.
Abie

Blocking content will make it worse... There are a lot of news businesses who are doing that... Why I would want to reach out to them... I can get the content elsewhere...

I hope this makes sense.

Where do I obtain the verification code required to transfer a domain to WA

Is there a reason you want to transfer your domain? You can leave it parked there and just point the NS to Wealthy Affiliate.

My associates domain is with square space and she wants me to help design and manage content. I think it’s easier if I do it here at WA in WP

ah ok!

In addition to what Andre said, your domain has to have passed the 60-day grace period.

Otherwise, you may point your domain to WA servers instead. The details are at the bottom of the site domains: Websites tab in the top menu.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains ==
If your site has content, you need to contact site support for further instructions.

They typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name; they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files. Then, you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.

You may transfer or point to WA servers here are the DNS settings to point to WA

https://ns1.mywahosting.com
https://ns2.mywahosting.com

To transfer your domain to WA you will need to log into your current hosting provider and get their FTP code.
If you need further help you can also contact site support to help you out.

here are a couple of videos to help you further

Thank you for covering this topic so thoroughly.

No probs glad to help plus Abie has expanded a bit more

When I come across an interesting fact and make a statement such as “studies show” do I have to include or cite the source? And, if so, how should that show up in

You can also change the wording and write it in your own words ORGINAL without citing.

Abie

Use a keyword and link to source, Dan.

Maxine :)

Sounds like Frank has you covered, Dan!

What's stopping us from using Wikipedia way?

Abie

Hi Dan

It’s not required, but it could boost the article’s EEAT in Google’s eyes, if you still believe that’s a thing, and some readers like it, especially if it’s a technical post.

I do it the standard way, with a bibliography at the end of the article.

You can put a number in superscript at the end of a sentence, or over a particular word that refers to the reference, and simultaneously make that word an external link to an authoritative source or the supporting document.

You can also ask AI to give you a list of targeted references and to write them in a particular bibliographic form, such as APA. I find that Perplexity AI works best for this.

Keep on Rockin’ it! 🤘
