Chat with Claude 2 About My Website

Hi everyone,

I had an interesting chat with Claude 2 about my website. I asked Claude to review my website. One main concern was whether it was all right to have my books featured on my website that was originally designed for digital marketing.

Claude became my brand expert and said that it was better for my website to retain its focus on digital marketing.

But I did not want to have too many websites to work on. Dealing with one website kept me busy enough. Plus, I needed time to write more books.

So, Claude made an excellent suggestion. It said to remain focused on digital marketing and have the book topic as a secondary topic. As time goes by, observe if there is more traffic to the book topic. And if it is, then consider branching out to another site.

I thought that was a feasible plan. What do you think?

Revamp Website Again

Back in April 2022, I consolidated all my website into one. My current site – timotheuslee.com. Partly, because it took too much time to manage 4 websites.

Also, it was a branding concern. For some strange reason, most people on the Internet recognized my name – Timotheus Lee. But not the brands of my website. Hence, the reason to consolidate all to the website of my namesake.

And I decided to focus on digital marketing with a bit of mention about my work as a lecturer. After I wrote and published a few books, I started to blog about my journey as an author and about my books, too.

Recently, I uploaded blog posts and videos until 24 Nov 23. Had planned to start writing my next book. But for some reason, I felt the urge to revisit and relook at the branding and niche of my website.

Hence, the chat with Claude 2, as mentioned above.

After the chat, I am inclined to do another revamp of my website, taking into the points made by Claude.

But before that, I may have a chat with ChatGPT and Bard and see their viewpoints too.

We shall see what they say.

Do you review the brand strategy of your website regularly? Or have you recently redone your website? Let me know in the comments below.

I wish you good health, wealth, and success!

Hey Tim! I have done both. I have, of necessity, had to review my brand strategy because of something i reviewed in segment 3 of the training. Flowing from this I revamped my sites. I will remember this since life and trends are always changing. Accordingly, you can't allow your brand to grow stale. Quarterly reviews might be the way to go. Thanks for sharing this and hope you have a wonderful FriSatSu!

Hey Grant!

Good to hear you do both. Yes, it is necessary. And good to review our sites. When necessary, we should refresh our brand, site or both.

I do my reviews about every half a year.

What is segment 3 of training? I may have missed out the training?

Have a great FriSatSu! 🎉 🎊 🥳

You're welcome, Larry 🙏

Glad it had you thinking about your website. I find it good to always review our brand, niche and website once in a while. It helps to keep our business on track.

Have a great weekend! 😊

Tim

Your website looks great by the way! If I can ask you a question, is your website through wordpress, like what we use here at WA? If so, I was curious which template you used, I'd love to get my site looking like that! lol. Thanks.

Thank you so much, Rex. I had years of website design and development experience. When Internet first came to Singapore in the mid 90s, I joined a local web development company and learned lots since. 😊

I host my websites on WA and edit via WordPress. I use blocks to create and edit my pages and posts.

The theme I use is called Author Blog by Smarter Themes. Although a theme designed for author sites, you can modify it to suit your niche. And it is free 😊

I have another site - https://flowinglovemeditation.com/. Have not updated for a few years cos was busy battling cancer, and also focused more on timotheuslee.com.

Please take a look and see if you like the theme there? For Flowing Love Meditation, I use the theme - Astra by Brainstorm Force. The theme has ready-made templates. That makes it easy to design your site. You can choose the template that you like and suit your needs.

Please let me know how else I can be of help. Will be happy to assist. For example, I can advise you on how to design your site to your liking.

Thanks a lot Tim! I really like the layout of the meditation site as well. I am finishing up an article right now, then I will probably mess around with my template. I may end up taking you up on that offer if I need some assistance. A greatly appreciate it, thanks again.

You're welcome, Rex 😊

I hope you get to create the website you will be pleased with.

Please feel free to DM me if you have any further questions.

How much does it cost to use claude2 in this way? And which do you think is more helpful, claude2 or chatGPT? I've only used chatGPT and as far as I know there is no way to ask chatgpt to review my website, but that would be very helpful. Thanks Timotheus!

Hi Rex,

Claude 2 is free to use (for now, not sure about in future).

For a purpose such as website strategy review, I find Claude 2 give better answers and results. It really helped me. Gave me points to ponder and strategies to consider.

ChatGPT's answer was generic.

Tim

I asked Claude2 and the response was that it could not help me improve my website and couldn't look at it either. How exactly did you prompt Claude to do it for you Tim?

1

Hey Regis,

Here are the prompts I used:

1. I first asked it to review a website called Tom's Guide. I had watched that site for decades. It focuses on technology and have also posted other lifestyle articles like latest TV shows and movies.

I feel my website is currently doing the same but wanted to be sure. So, I asked Claude:
"hi claude, what is tom's guide website about? https://www.tomsguide.com/"

2. Then I asked "Could you study my website - https://timotheuslee.com/ and let me know if I have the same content strategy as Tom's Guide? And if not, how do I improve it?"

In other words, don't ask Claude what it can do. Go directly to ask what you would like it to do.

Tim

Wow, thanks it worked!!

2

You're welcome, Regis 😊

Tim

I really don't, Tim, and for me, I don't use AI. I now where I wish to go, and I'll defer to writing my books and working on my website myself. I hope that works out for you though!

Jeff

3

Yes, it is excellent that you are focused, Jeff. 👍

I need to do the same. But I have so many interests 😄

Tim

1

Nothing wrong with that, Tim!

Jeff

2

Thanks, Jeff 🙏

Claude, Bard and ChatGPT agree with you. All 3 of them said it is ok for my personal brand site to feature different interests. After all, it is a website about me. And I am a person with varied interests.

So it seems the current design and wide focus of my website is ok. As long as I don't spread it to too many interests.

That's good to hear, Tim!
