Hi,
I am building my first website for the boot camp.
My question, how do I choose my web address. Should it be similar to www.wealthyaffiliate.com for ranking on
You can name it whatever you like. Usually the url is also the title of your website. Mine, for example is workfromyourlaptop.com, so of course the title of my site is Work From Your Laptop. Come up with something short and sweet that will serve as the title for what you're going to be creating content for. It's not a bad idea to have wealthy affiliate in the title, but the title alone won't rank it high on google. That happens through content. Choose anything you like. Early on people will be finding your site by your individual posts more than they will a google search for your site.
Right. Using myself as an example, early on no one was finding my site by searching "Work From Your Laptop", they were finding it by my individual posts as they searched for things that I was writing about. Early on if you searched "Work From Your Laptop" my site was nowhere to be seen because it was still in its early stages. As time went on and more and more content was added to the site bringing more traffic slowly but surely, now you can search "Work From Your Laptop" and it's on page 1 of Google.
It's through your individual posts that you'll build traffic to make your site an authority site :)

It doesn't have to be similar to WA. I am not so sure whether that domain name will be available but I would advise you choose something else unique to you.You can have a page reviewing WA wherein you can use the word WA in your keyword.
