Football Season is upon us!

Hello fellow Wealthy Affiliate members! Football season is upon us. College and professional teams are gearing up for the regular season. Pro teams just completed their first preseason games, testing out the abilities of rookie players and veterans alike.

All of this means that fantasy football is also ready to captivate an entire audience of eager football fans! Fantasy sports has added an whole new realm to the sporting world. Football, of course, is the most popular sport in the USA. So, it stands to reason that fantasy football is the most popular fantasy sport.

Ripples and splashes in the water of fantasy football can already be seen and felt. Houston running back Arian Foster, expected to be a late first round or early second round fantasy draft pick, could miss half the season due to recent groin injury and having a sports hernia operation performed.

Starting quarterback Geno Smith of the Jets will miss 6 to 10 weeks because a fellow Jets teammate punched him and broke his jaw. Geno was not expected to be on a lot of fantasy teams, but this is interesting news nonetheless. This might actually increase the value of the Jets' wide receivers, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, with Ryan Fitzpatrick taking over for Smith.

Jaguars' Tight End, Julius Thomas, just broke his hand playing against Pittsburgh last Friday. He should be back to play the season opener against Carolina on September 13th, but it is worth noting when fantasy drafts are taking place over the next few weeks. Thomas is one of the better Tight Ends in the league.

There are still three more weekends of preseason football to be played, with many questions to be answered.

Who will be the Dallas Cowboys featured running back to begin the year?

Will rookie running backs Melvin Gordon of San Diego and Todd Gurley of St. Louis make a huge impact on their team's success?

Will Tom Brady actually be forced to miss the first four games of the season? How will Jimmy Garoppolo perform in his place?

Who to take in the mid rounds of the draft? And who will turn out to be an absolute steal in the later rounds?

I have been working on my WA website which is about fantasy football. I invite all of you to visit and leave feedback. I even wrote an article on "How to play fantasy football; a guide for beginners" for those of you who aren't that familiar? I would appreciate your perspective on it. Please leave questions for me to answer if you have any.
