Two Billboards on I-35W in Minneapolis
OLD SCHOOL
I am currently running two (2) BILLBOARDS on interstate 35W in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my logo, my picture and my website domain.
LAST WEEK
8.2K Impressions
$6.4 CPM
I am not able to track the exact number of clicks like you can with Google ads, but I am getting views, because I’ve had friends call me and tell me.
Currently, I’m doing this for branding purposes, but when I find a general public interest product or service I may try to get actual SALES.
What are your thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Am I out of my mind?

If it serves a purpose and is cost effective then go for it Brad. The advertising for one of my businesses (window cleaning) is mainly offline.

That's awesome Brad! I like the idea! I am all for old school tactics for advertising, branding and/or sales. I currently use business cards to share a specific affiliate link for my niche. It works!
I'm assuming these billboards are the static photo variety and not the digital ones? You don't need to post the exact amount if you don't want to, but how much does that cost per week or month?
That is a brilliant idea about the business card. I believe I recall the post in regards to Covid supplies and you found an opportunity. Refresh my memory.
Michael
Yes, that's pretty much it. I use the products I promote and everyone in my line of healthcare also uses these products too.
Actually, they are the digital ones. I’m paying about $6 for 1000 impressions. (Which I assume is an approximation of cars that zip past)
I’ve considered hiring “Brand Ambassadors” to where “Scan Me” T-Shirts with QR Codes and walk around the Minnesota State Fair.
You once mentioned trade shows and conventions. Make some and give them away. People do wear Free Door Prizes. I did this before and I seen one at a casino in another state a year later.

Good morning Brad,
It's interesting how old school ideas can still work and something that I've always liked is simple things! As humans, I sometimes think that we overcomplicate life, but simple ideas, are often best.
After speaking to you yesterday, Brad, when I went downstairs, there was a postcard size advertising card laying near the door! I thought of you, as this was quite an attractive flyer type card, I actually took note of it, after our conversation!!
Have a great day and I will book a slot soon.
Roy
Let’s do it again. I enjoyed our video chat.
We will, Brad, I will make a booking shortly!
Yes, it's so good to talk with like-minded members, Brad!
Have a fantastic day.
