A breach in Thrive Themes Security This Morning- Heads Up
If you use Thrive Themes like I do, please take a look at this:
https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2021/03/recently-patched-vulnerability-in-thrive-themes-actively-exploited-in-the-wild/
Basically, you need to update all your Thrive Wordpress themes and plugins.
Hopefully you do this automatically but if not then it's worth checking your sites now.
...and it might be worth considering installing Wordfence too.
Is this a bad mark against Thrive Themes?
In my opinion no.
It's the first breach I've seen affecting their products in years and really these things can happen anywhere.
When security issues do strike it's great to be with a company like Thrive who act quickly to remedy the situation.

Thanks for the heads up. Will check a little closer than I normally do to make sure that one is good. Sami
Hi Catherine,
I've installed Wordfence on one of my sites, the only problem that I have been running into is that when a customer is trying to send me an email. On their end, it seems like the email is not sent because the plugin is checking a lot of stuff in the back, so it keeps on turning and turning. What happens is that the customer re-sends the email thinking that the information is not sent.
I use a form on my sites to get people to send me the information on the work that they want to get performed by us on their boats either for spring commissioning or fall preparation. So they keep re-sending the information. I had one customer that sent me the same email 25 times before he called to say that the form didn't seem to work. For now, until I can find a better solution I had to disable it.
That's my take on that plugin but other people might have better luck with it.
Have a super wonderful day, stay safe, stay healthy ... cheers ... Michel
The compatibility of any plugin depends on whatever other plugins you have and in your case it conflicts with another plugin
You may be right because I do have the "ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7" activated on that site. That is one thing that I had not thought about, maybe there is a conflict there. Thanks for the heads up. But what I'm wondering, does Wordfence act as a ReCaptcha on that page?

Thank you for the Heads Up Catherine.
