How an Internal Blog Prank Became ClickBillionaires "Fact"

I use an AI agent to gather current information from various review platforms. By default, one of the sites it scans is Wealthy Affiliate. I do this so I can stay on top of what people are saying when they search for specific keywords or phrases. The agent also checks my competitors’ sites and Google. So far, it’s been working well and sending me weekly updates.

So you might be wondering why I’m sharing this. This week’s scan showed me a new AI feature that I thought was worth writing about. It even created an outline to help me restructure my post so it includes the latest information.

Here Is What it Found

Recently we all experienced April 1st. The jokes, the memes and the bogus articles that was meant to be a joke. Kyle wrote a post that ranked called A Big Announcement: Wealthy Affiliate Is Becoming ClickBillionaires! This like many post in our internal blog are ranked and here is what my agent found.

Quick Summary:This is an April Fools' prank article from Kyle at Wealthy Affiliate. He jokingly announces that Wealthy Affiliate is rebranding to ClickBillionaires™, claiming the original name and goal "helping people make money online."

At the end, Kyle admits: "We are not becoming ClickBillionaires™. At least not today. April Fools." Nothing is actually changing. All member accounts, content, and progress all stay exactly the same.

Serious Takeaway: Beneath the joke, Kyle highlights a real trend: AI is changing online business, and success increasingly depends on building audiences, generating consistent traffic/attention at scale, and creating assets that compound over time. The Issue

AI took the Latest information and ran away with it. It is now serving it up as factual information and our latest update. I have seen this update reflected on 2 different review sites as factual because it came from an internal Wealthy Affiliate blog.

We all know it is a joke, but AI is not amung us. It is clueless because it has no soul. All it sees and recognizes is new and updated information delivered from an authority site. It is now promoting the updates for all to read.

The Wakeup Call

This is a reminder to review all information AI provides you before you present it as fact. I am going out on a limb here, but as members here, you know the difference between fact or fiction. I would hope! AI does what it is designed to do, it provides the best information possible to answer questions. It is up to you to separate fact from fiction.

Always provide the most up to date features when writing. Stop copy and pasting blindly and provide value when writing. A bit of effort can take you further than you know.
