In The Market for a Ship-Part 3

The anxious, wandering or untamed mind (hanging on for dear life) has become such a norm in our society today that it can be compared to a ship racing downwind and without something in place to bring tranquility to our thoughts we can inflict serious and sometimes fatal injury not only to ourselves but to others that surround us. Traveling downwind at an uncontrollable rate often causes anxiety and stress that is detrimental to both the body and mind.
5. Ship Mast: is a tall, vertical, or near vertical, spar, or arrangement of spars, which supports the sails. Large ships have several masts, with the size and configuration depending on the style of ship. Nearly all sailing masts are guyed masts.
Note: The concept of a ship carrying more than one mast, to give it more speed under sail and to improve its sailing qualities.
Representation: Intelligence that is separated into various specific (primarily sensory) modalities, rather than seeing it as dominated by a single general ability.
There are three different Mast (Fore-most, Main-mast and Mizzen-Mast) can be related to three types of thought processes (Pathological thinking, Logical thinking and Psychological thinking)
A. Pathological thinking (Fore-most, Front Mast): Is used to designate thinking that is imbalanced by emotion. Pathological thought does not see itself, cannot see itself, and cannot see other types of thought.
Pathological thinking causes us to “Jump the Gun” without total evaluation of someone or something. The idiom “Jump the gun” is in reference to an act when it is started earlier (to do something prematurely) than expected or when something is spoken without required thinking.
Has anyone ever said the wrong thing to someone, realize it later, way after it's too late, and then feel stupid about it for days afterwards? Doing or Saying something without thinking is the worst disease of mankind because it destroys loving and caring relationships and can really kill a person deep within.
B. Logical thinking (Main-mast, Middle Mast): Works without emotion. It works by comparison, yes or no, either/or. It seeks conclusion, decision between two opposing choices. It is impartial, non-subjective.
Logical thinking or “Critical thinking” is in reference to a wide range of dispositions and attitudes which together characterize a virtue which has both intellectual and moral aspects, and which serves to prevent the emergence of numerous vices (An evil, degrading, or immoral practice or habit).
Because we are overwhelmed by change and pressed for time on a daily basis, it is always tempting to find a "quick-fix” to solutions in life. Weighing important decisions based only on our emotions rather than taking the time to gather the appropriate information or carefully weighing the alternatives can lead to disaster in the long run.
C. Psychological thinking (Mizzen-mast, Rear Mast): Is intellect in harmony with emotion. It is aware of itself. When that awareness vanishes, so does the cooperation of thought and feeling.
Psychological thinking is the ability to recognize both Pathological thinking and Logical thinking when it comes to making well-balanced decisions towards someone or something. Psychological thinking is self-evaluating and it progresses by Reflection.... It has as a goal understanding, and evaluates each step in light of that goal.
6. Aft castle and Forecastle- These parts of the ship were used in medieval shipping to provide a heightened platform from which to take an offensive and defensive position.
Representation: Elevated thoughts. To rise to a higher intellectual or spiritual level:
The way we think has a lot to do with our ability to size things up and weigh them accordingly. Depending on our level of thinking determines how our minds process such things as discrimination of movement (Diversity, Different viewpoints) and color discrimination (Character perception, Looking beyond just Black and White).
To possess these parts (Aft castle and Forecastle) of a ship determine the following:
a. How we know what we are doing within our environment?
b. How we initiate activity in response to our environment?
c. The judgments we make about what occurs in our daily activities?
“Work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive”. Leah LaBelleJoin FREE & Launch Your Business!
