Hope She Gets It!

Yea! My daughter has her first job interview this evening! She was starting to get worried. I'm happy for her! She's ready for one, that's for sure. She's in a junior college here in town, and so is the offer for employment. The only bad thing is that she would potentially need to take the bus for a while, to get there and back. We usually walk everywhere since everything is close (and my truck is not working>: { ). I'll ride out there with her this evening because 1) she isn't all familiar with the route. 2) she thinks she may have picked up a stalker!

She thinks the guy may just be a little off in the head (but with violent tendencies), but is amazed at how many times since she first encountered him on one of her walks home, that she sees him. She was walking home one day and said this guy walked in front of a car turning into a shopping mall's parking lot. When the car slammed on it's breaks, he brought his fist down hard on the cars hood and started to yell at the driver. She was walking behind the guy and saw all of this. Since the sidewalk is along a busy street (the main BLVD here in town) she couldn't just cross to the other side, so she just stopped. When he turned and saw her, he got up in her face, and started yelling at her, too! She stood her ground, and he walked away, muttering.

See's seen him often enough, that I'm not comfortable with her going alone for that long by her self, SO...

Anyway. I hope she gets the job. It'll make her happy and give her some experience, finally! Then it's off to the rat race for her! C-YA"S

Well Theresa, if you want my advice, there's a few awesome tips on my fighting website (my profile has the link). If something god forbid happens, a little eye gouge or groin shot does the trick :P

TEE HEE! She knows a few tricks that I taught her. She's short @ 5 ft nutin' so I always tell her to go for the kneecaps, that's about the only thing she can reach *8-}

Wow, that sounds creepy, hope she is safe, but also gets the job. Let us know how things go. Kim :))

She got it!! The bus ride was creep free too. Changing routines is always go for throwing them off the trail.

Nice, thanks for the follow up. :)

I pray for her safety.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Must have helped, too. No creep AND she got the job! Thank You

If we were closer, I'd teach her some moves guaranteed to take any idiot down. ;)

She can hold her own. I'm 5' 4" and she's stopped growing at 5' nothin'. I taught her many tricks

outstanding! I'm the same way. I always taught my daughter to be able to defend herself. All women should know how to protect themselves when necessary. :)

So true! Especially us shorties. My dad was 6' 4", my brother is 6' 4 1/2". My mother is only 5' and I'm in between at 5' 4". Poor kid didn't stand a chance. Took after her grandmother. But Daddy taught me well (He was a gunsmith, too :). I past it on to all my girls (3).

NOT good news about the stalker. She needs some lessons in self-defense. Do they have some at the college. Can she notify the school of the stalker, or does it even apply to the college. This would make me very uncomfortable for her. Good luck with the job hunt.

Great tips. She sees him after classes and on the way home. She has informed a couple of the shop keepers in the stores where she sees him most often. When she sees him, she goes into one of the stores. Ironically, her classes are in American Criminal law, and her boyfriend is an up and coming Cop. He's seen the guy, and when he's out and about on the ride- a-longs he does, he'll be looking for the guy too.

Hope she gets the job. As for the possible stalker; I don't know if either of you are believers but Psalm 92: 2 ( it's actually 1-15) Is The Prayer for Protection. Trust me it works, just memorize verse 2!

pepper spray :) and a loud police whistle

I got that covered for her >; )

Wishing her the best on landing the job!

Thank You. Happy thoughts always help.

She Got It! Happy Day! The wishing worked. Yay!

Hope she gets it!

Me too

I didn't even see that. Call me (NOT) original! Be careful, you two. Call the cops if you see that stalker!

She Got It! (We could use those balloons now >; ) )

WOOT!

WOOTs are good too! Thanks ; )

I hope she gets it also.

I do too, she needs it to stop being so frustrated!

She Got It! Thanks to you and everyone else's good wishes. Thank You.
