Another Vote For Just Getting Started
So many times I feel that I am just in a funk and can not seem to work up the energy to do anything. My mind is blank and my vim vigor and vitality are somewhere else.
This is where you need some sort of a framework to get yourself going.
Some people maintain a todo list and try to stick to it. A little more structured is to set up an actual agenda that you make yourself adhere to. Set up actual times for things and make yourself stick to them.
It is great not having a boss to answer to all the time. It is also great not having the distractions of coworkers interrupting at the most inconvenient times.
But unless you actually have some sort of a self-discipline system set up to actually get you moving at those off times your level of accomplishment will be very low. As will be your self esteem.
Working on your own looks, from the outside, like a lot of fun and even relaxing at times. In reality though you still have a very tough boss who knows all about you. Yourself!

You are absolutely right. When you are the boss, you have no one to blame, but you also get to take all of the credit!!
I am great at the second part.
