Getting Started
I just completed setting up my first website and I'm excited to get going with this new journey.
I've been on the internet for a few years now, not always consistently. I've spent so much time jumping from one program to the next trying to find success but nothing has worked for me so far.
I have wasted a lot of time and money because I am afflicted with "shiny objects" syndrome. I finally had to admit that to myself and make a conscious decision to do things differently.
So here I am, doing things differently. I am getting a late start out of the gate for 2021 but better late than never.
Some of the biggest lessons I've learned.
- An online business is a business like any other and if you want to succeed you have to put in the time and the effort.
- There are no shortcuts to success, you have to focus and stick to it.
- The majority of gurus make their money from selling newbies courses on how to make money online.
And finally, the big one, there is no reason why I should not be able to succeed online if I want it badly enough, am willing to do the work and never give up.

Hi Teri, you have outlined some great points here.
We should always treat an online business the same as we would an offline bricks and mortar business.
There are no shortcuts, only hard, smart, consistent and persistent work will win the day.

Teri, awesome post and well done getting down to creating your website. To break this shiny object syndrome you need to think like a seller. From now on it's going to be you that is doing the recommending and get your head out of being a buyer.
I am not saying you will never buy anything else again but for now everything you need is here and there is an awesome community with amazing information and massive success stories all wanting to help you
