A Couple of Handy Things To Know
As we are preparing another post for our Conquer website, it became apparent that our friends here could benefit from something that we will be posting. There are many little things that can help you in your marketing. One of them is to be able to find an affiliate program for products that you want to promote. Many of you are still quite new and do not know this yet.
Here at WA we are taught to focus our affiliate activities around things that we are passionate about. That way you have some knowledge to share or else will be learning things to share with your readers. I have seen quite a few people say that there just isn't anything related to promote within your chosen niche. There almost always is something. If nothing else there should be books that you can promote.
Getting back to how to find affiliate programs for your products, it is very simple. In the search bar type in affiliate program:fishing equipment... or whatever it is you are looking for. That will bring up quite a few things for you to choose from. Many companies are listed with Linkshare, commission junction, Sharasale and others but it can be hard finding them unless you do it this way. This also will give you options that you never knew existed.
The other pointer is similar to that one. When you publish a post and you want to know if it has been indexed yet, simply type this into your address bar... site:mysite.com. Of course, you would type in the name of your own site. You can be indexed rather quickly if you go inside webmaster tools and do a fetch in Google for that post. That does not help your ranking but it does get it indexed quicker as Google sends it's spiders to crawl that URL immediately.
Hope these little tips help someone.
Your friends,
Jay and Glenda

Thank you Teacup, I haven't heard from you for awhile, I know most of what you taught Finding an Affiliate program, And looking out to see if I'm ranked by Google, Happy returns too you.
you are welcome. That was strictly for those who did not know yet. A lot of times we think that if we know something then everyone else does do. That is not always the case. I know that finding little tips like that helped me in the past and I still run into things that others think everyone else knows. We should not assume but be helpful where we can.
Take care
Jay and Glenda
