Four Months on WA
In a couple days, I will have been a Wealthy Affiliate member for four months. It has been an amazing experience. My thoughts about WA have changed a lot from those first skeptical days. I am a skeptic no more!
In the beginning, I was very reluctant to participate in the community discussions. I didn't think anyone wanted to hear what I "newbie" thought. I just sat back at watched (but also learned). I was wrong about that too. Once I did start to chime in I learned that the Wealthy Affiliate community is very welcoming and encouraging. So, for any new members that might rad this, jump in and participate. It is safe here.
While I didn't intend it and haven't really pushed for it, I am steadily moving up in the WA ranking. Just more proof that participation is welcome and encouraged. By being active I have also met some incredible new WA friends and that just may be the best thing that has happened in my first months here.
My training is also progressing well. I am working on Course 4 of the Certification training and on Phase 2 of Bootcamp. I am constantly amazed at how much information Kyle has crammed into that training. I learn new things every time I open a session.
Based on that training, I have started two new websites. They are affiliatemarketingforretirees.com and knowyourrv.com. The RV site is a major undertaking but I am making progress thanks to WA. Whenever I run into a snag I just search here for the answer - and I almost always find it. If I don't I just ask a question and soon have the info I need.
Now I am getting more heavily into social media and learning to promote my websites there. I would be lost in that world is it wasn't for Kyle's training modules and the blogs and training posted by other WA members. Thankfully I do have that resource so I am making good progress there too.
I can't know everything that is in my future but I do know I will still be here with my new found WA family. Over the rest of this year I plan to finish the "first draft" of my websites and begin editing and fine tuning them. I also hope to begin showing a bigger profit over the next few months. I accept the little bit I am making now as proof that much more is possible.
As for Wealthy Affiliate, my goal is to finish the five Certification Courses and at least the first four Bootcamp Phases by the end of the year. I also want to start creating some of my own training modules to give back a little for all the help I have gotten.
Thank you all for making me feel welcome on Wealthy Affiliate. I will be here for the long haul and look forward to a bright future for all.

Thanks for writing such a personal note that I am sure everyone feels the same sentiments. I could never have said it better. I have only been here 3 weeks, and the people I have corresponded with have always been very helpful.
I am impressed with the whole system. I too will be here for a long time. The learning here seems to be unlimited to what one can learn.

Thank you Lora. One of my fellow RVers! Like you, I am finding I am involved in a lot more activities than I was before. Some days I can barely find time to reply to the emails from WA. Being active physically and mentally is a good thing though. Keep up the great progress you are making here.

We ALL need to be inspired. It is people like you and seeing your accomplishments that help move us along in the program. Yes, Somehow, we find the minutes in the day to do it because we CARE.
It is difficult finding time to read all these pages and then to blog to our friends and give them encouragement.
When I hear about what you have done in the four months you have been here, that TELLS us, it can be done. We must not get blinded by out side forces and just keep moving forward.
Success is just around the corner. Keep moving.

When I retired I changed the tag line on my personal blog to "Life in the not as fast as used to be lane." Now I'm finding that isn't exactly true. I still seem to be in a fast lane but, at least now it's a lane of my own choosing.
I believe you are speeding forward in your own lane too.

Exactly.although I've been retired now for thirteen years I still can't find enough time in the day to get everything done that I want to do,
It's only been a couple months for me but I am quickly finding that out!
