Yes definitely it does help, Martin. I have also found out it's a good idea to add a keyword to comment if they haven't done so but in a natural way - and don't over do it! For instance, change "this site has helped me etc" to "(name of site/keyword) has helped me etc."
Martin! Thanks for asking this question; if it was in the training I didn't understand it to be part of what we were doing inside of WA. So, don't worry about already reading it; all of us needed reminding for sure.

Content is content -- And Google and the other search engines love content.
A comment like - "good site" - won't do much!
They help your rank for sure! I can attest to this with one of the luggage scale reviews I wrote on my website. Combined with comments of my visitors and my replies to them I got 22 comments and in a matter of days I was on page 1 in Google. Social sharing helps, too.
As for keywords... comments should be written in a natural way just like your replies. Anything else is known as "keyword stuffing" and you don't want Google to accuse you of that ;)

What you need is sales!
In order to get sales, you'll need people.
In order to get people, you'll need to socialize. This is where we use the word, ENGAGE!
Give to others first so that they will give back (hopefully). Comment on their sites and share with them quality stuff or just stuff that will melt their hearts, etc.
Get ranking is good but having people around you is much better. And be nice, you'll never know who will recommend you to their network/people.

Can I do a search for a member who's not in my network
Glad you asked the question. It's not always as obvious to us as it is after we know the answer.
The only way I know if that person is in your network, is by either clicking on your profile, then your network, then who you are following.
If it is a member that is not in your network, click on Rank in the top right corner, scroll down page to find person, then click on their name. I hope this helps,

Type their name up in the query box at the top of the screen where it says need help.....Ask your question here. If you know their handle type it in there and it should take you to their home page.

I've found a great domain but it's only avaliable in co.uk , If I purchase this domain am I limiting my audience? should I keep searching for a suitable domain with .com
You would be limiting you audience for sure, like Leo said .com, .org or .net are other options. Kim :))
Yes you are limiting your audience as these domain extensions are primarily for people who live and market in the UK
It's best to find a .com if that's not available then search for a .org or a .net
well I have both uk and com.. depends where you want to target, its ok for me as I am in the UK... think it goes dot com, dot org then you region perhaps you might have to consider another name or add a letter to what you want and see if you can get it.. just about playing around with it
