there are different types of canoes/Kayaks, white water, ocean, gear, etc.
I think if that's the niche you want to go into then choose what you find most enjoyable out of those types and focus mainly on them at first the when you feel comfortable with your site then expand it. I have started a few different types in my niche (technology) and once I feel that people are gaining valuable information then I will be expanding the site so that I can reach to more people.

Hi Tanya - I don't think it's too broad, it's targeted with a lot of scope for promoting a wide range of related interests. As long as it's an interest and passion of yours then go for it! You'll be pleasantly surprised by the potential as you progress through the training...

Tanya, same thoughts here. Almost ¨how long is a piece of string¨. If kayaking is your passion I would think you could split into into several narrower niches and several sites - maybe best rivers or venues, best gear to wear, best makers/designs of kayak, etc. etc. Hope this gives you an idea or two. Luck .................
