Interruptions
I have been having so many interruptions I am not getting done what I need to do to get the show on the road. Any suggestions? I am finding that my family is involved in many of the interruptions. They cannot understand that is will be my work. They're in the frame of mind that you go to work you don't do it at home. I am having difficulty in how to approach this issue and to get myself on track. I have been a member getting ready to begin the 2nd month and I still don't have my web page ready. Suggestions on how to get to get family members to understand what I'm trying to do would be most appreciated

do you have a room u can "LOCK"urself in for 1hour at a time, choose a section u want to finish, one section at a time, 1 hour at a time,or find chores for them to do and every time ur interruped ,give more chores, sooner or later u know it'll sink in.Blessing on ya.LTW
I can relate to your situation. School starts back late next week and I'm glad about it, but until it does, I just remind my kids that I am working, I need to get this done today, so please do not bother me right now, I will tend to what you want me to do a little later, and if you need something right now "your Daddy is in there," tell him about it. That's what I do!
I would agree with Alexander, I think that is a great idea to start with, all depending on how old the member of your family are at this stage.
Hi Tanya
You are not alone in this I suspect. When you expose your self to the WA system you experience a rapid increase in knowledge.Your family will be unaware of the process the key is to get them to buy into the process. An old fashion way is the good old white board, map out what you are attempting to do show it to your family. They go whoa, keeps you on track and gives them an idea of what you are trying to achieve.

I know I was in the same boat. I usually work during the day while hubby is at work and my son is in school. Sometimes i will work late at night ad well. Treat it like an regular job and find a space in your house for an office. Set aside hours during the day to work and let your family know. Stick to you r guns. It will be an big adjustment for while.
Thank you. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get people to understand that just because you are on a computer it's not a real job
Set an area aside to work in, and ask them to respect your office. Explain to them that you are trying to start a business and when you are in your office it is the same as being at work. Treat this as a business and set regular hours to work. As they begin to see you taking this serious and treating it like a business, they will learn to respect your efforts.
Depends on what and how your family connections are. If you are able to take care of your bills and any other obligations you have, just tell 'em to mind their own business and stay out of yours. Don't let their ignorance stop you from what you want to do. Harsh? Maybe, but ces't la vie

It can be a challenge from others but also from ourselves. Creating a schedule with small steps will help to create the habits we need to hve success.
